我的简介
Sliced Bread, a publication at The University of Chicago, is a magazine devoted to bringing together the odds and ends of our frenetic world, the things that make us laugh, cry, and ponder our meandering existence as a species. Therefore, we publish not only short and long fiction, poetry, and prose, but also more non-traditional genres in literary magazines, like creative non-fiction, cultural commentary and opinions, travel writing, photography, and all forms of artistic renditions. Our mission is to provide a slice of everything, because after all, life is everything and everything is life. Sliced Bread is, in all reality, the oldest and the newest literary magazine at the University of Chicago. It is a complete remake in every sense of the word "total" of the literary magazine Aubade, which was founded in 1991. Therefore, during the summer of 2006, Katie, Nathan, and Kavita began putting together what is now Sliced Bread. We believe that literary magazines should not be only literary; it should encompass every aspect of life that inspires us to do what we do. Genres should also receive equal respect and not fight each other for attention
