Being a working student at that time, his photography was on and off. Until in 2002, driven by the urge to create images, he decided to shoot again. He was influenced by documentary style. As a photographer, he prefers to shoot available light as much as possible to capture the natural color and beauty of the subject.

I am a recent Atheist, but I never truly believed in God. I sang solos at various churches and I even gave a sermon or two. I had convinced even myself that I believed in God. In the fall of 2006 my eyes were opened to the fact I had been worshipping the mere concept of a god and that concept was flying into the face of everything I knew to be true. I set down a list of everything I knew to be true and compared it to the Bible and everything I wrote had a corresponding verse (or two... or twenty) that contradicted my factual knowledge. I immediately signed up for the American Atheists organization and came out to all I knew that I am an Atheist. I am not ashamed, nor am I afraid.

I am a forty-something Registered Nurse, happily married since 1989, with a wonderful, dynamic wife and a creative, compassionate, and loving son in his early twenties. I work with the Latino community in a New England city, caring for individuals with HIV/AIDS, diabetes, addiction, and sundry illnesses related to lives rife with trauma and the intergenerational effects of poverty. Originally interested in pursuing a career in the visual arts (or writing or music), my disposition has led me to a life in healthcare and service, for better or worse. My life's goal is to live a simple, community- and service-oriented existence in Central America with my lovely wife, some goats, some dogs, good friends, good wine, an organic garden, and a pile of books.
